In addition to being a full time REALTOR I’m happy to be the 2009 Chair of the Community Outreach Committee for the Women’s Council of Realtors San Antonio.

Each year we put together 4 events that benefit non-profits in the area. Our first quarter event benefits 2 non-profit animal shelters – Animal Friends and Homes for Pets.

I would like to invite each of you to the 2nd Annual Picnic with Your Pooch. There will be a doggie costume contest so dress-up Fido and come out and support this worthwhile cause.

As homeowners we are always looking for ways to improve our property.

If you are considering making any improvements to the exterior of your home and you live in a subdivision that is governed by a Homeowner’s Association (HOA) you must have approval from your architectural control committee before starting your project.

What do I mean by improvements?

With Spring fast approaching you may be thinking…

• A deck would be nice in the backyard for those summer bar-b-ques
• The paint on the house is chipping we need to repaint the exterior
• I can’t fit one more thing in my garage - it’s time for a shed!
• I’m sick of all the cedar trees in my yard. The next time we have nice weather I’m getting out the chain saw.
• I need to put or add a fence around the house.
• Even though the community pool is nice I want a pool of my own. I better start building now so we can enjoy this summer.
